There's a chill in the air, pumpkin spice is back, and I've already made hot chocolate.
It goes without saying that autumn is my favorite season.
Lace, suede, fringe, denim and ponchos; these are a few of my favorite things.
I mean seriously, 70's boho is back and I couldn't be happier.
While I online window-shop the high end department stores, I thought I'd curate a little list of items that I can actually afford.
Fringe is HUGE this season and it's great. I already have a shaggy/fringed vest like this cardigan, but I think I wore it to death last year so this will be the perfect replacement. Let's be real, you can never have enough fringe!
This poncho happens to be plus size (I hate the term "plus size"), but it has the best vintage feel and coloring. I'm also crazy obsessed with ponchos at the moment and I seriously want one in every color. They're like security blankets disguised as statement pieces.
Black skinny jeans are clearly a staple to every wardrobe. Recently I've been loving the look of cut-off ankle jeans with chelsea boots. These H&M jeans also happen to be the most flattering and comfortable pair of jeans I own.
Over-the-knee boots are by far my favorite trend this season. Pair them with skinny jeans, or a tartan tunic and you're set! I especially love that these are so affordable and have trendy lace up detailing in the back.
Blanket scarves will be one of my A/W staples for the foreseeable future. They give you so many options, and can even double as a coat or shrug. I can never/will never have enough blanket scarves.
I love the lace-up trend at the moment. It reminds me of a pirate or something, but like a really cute pirate. Hey, it could double as a costume piece!
I saw this dress and instantly fell in love, I'm drawn to anything lace or leather. I love that you can show some skin and it still looks totally flattering. Also, wine-colored everything is a must for fall.
I see variations of this skirt everywhere and I love the button front look. Whether it's denim, corduroy or suede, this skirt looks cute with just about anything (especially an oversized cream turtleneck).
A wool wide-brimmed fedora is a must for the A/W seasons; we learned this last year. Here's a cute, reasonably priced one.
Keeping with the fringe theme, this bag is super cute and will add a little western edge to any outfit. I'd recommend adding a cut poncho or blanket scarf.
What are some of your favorite fashion trends this season?
