Awards season is undoubtably one of my favorite times of the year; I love film and I love fashion.
Since I live tweet each show, much to the dismay of my followers (get over it), I decided it would be fun if I judged the fashion from a platform other than my couch.
I'll admit I wasn't particularly blown away by the gowns this year, but these are a few of my favorites:
Naomi Watts

First up, Naomi Watts in Armani Prive. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I actually really like this dress! Yes it slightly resembles an American Apparel bandeau top, but look at it from the side or from the back and you just might change your mind.
Julianne Moore

Next I have Julianne Moore in a custom Chanel gown designed by Karl Lagerfeld, of course. Julianne Moore's been killing the red carpet game lately, in my opinion. I mean just look at that detail! Her impeccable hair and makeup is also worth mentioning. Beautiful.
Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon rocking Tom Ford because why wouldn't she be. The simplicity of this dress is what I'm in love with the most. It's tailored perfectly to her body, not a crease in sight. The black banded details give this dress the edge that makes it stand out in the best of ways.
Emma Stone

I may hold a bit of bias when it comes to Emma Stone.
I think she's immaculate and can do no wrong, especially when it comes to fashion. This Elie Saab gown got mixed reviews in the social media realm, but the combination of the chartreuse with the coral lip may be my favorite combination ever, especially on someone as fair-skinned as Emma.
This is another dress where the plunging back might help sway your opinion.
Jennifer Lopez

Oh, J. Lo. How can you still look this good?! It's actually unreal.
Actually, my favorite thing about this look is how well the dress, accessories, and makeup match seamlessly with her skin tone. The Elie Saab dress also fortunately photographs impeccably. She's gorgeous.
Jennifer Aniston

Last but most definitely not least, the ageless wonder Jennifer Aniston in Versace. This dress is tailored perfectly to her (amazing) body. I also applaud her wearing such a blush, pale color with blonde hair. Not many can pull of this look, but she does it tremendously.
